Champ Select Error (Timeout Error)

This happened to me twice today. During champ select, I timed out (people were stuck at 0 for timers). I began clicking things in hopes that I may reconnect. I clicked the ward select option, and then a loading bar appears. As this loading bar is there, I reconnect, but I cannot click anything at all on the client. The second time it happened I forgot to not click the ward select option. Eventually I just watch myself time out as I can't select a champion. I'm now waiting 15 mins to play my next game.

Any way to prevent this from happening in the future?
