Malphite Chromas

I was playing earlier to day with the malphite "pearl" chroma ( i believe) idk what happened (playing jg, maybe something to do with smite or just with the chromas) but his w animation didn't activate. usually mecha malph's hands change when he uses w, but they never activated the entire game (that i noticed) as well as the animation of the change.
