Azir Soldier and Trundle Pillar Bug

I was in a ranked game yesterday and I put down an Azir soldier and it was auto attacking Master Yi perfectly fine until the Enemy trundle put up a pillar directly on top of the sand soldier. Azir himself was doing the animation as if the soldier was auto attacking but Master Yi was not being hit or taking damage. I could also hear the sound of the soldier auto attacking.
