Ranked champ select bug?

This just happen to me today where I que in for a ranked game, we ban our champs and my chat box says everyone disconnected from chat, champion select timer goes down to zero and I'm trapped in the select menu. Was trapped for 10 minutes till I quit and when I did I lost LP ANd has a quit timer. Is there any way to fix this so it doesn't happen to anyone else
