Zhonya's stopping Morgana Ult sadness

I've played quite a few games now as Morgana where I noticed that when I Zhonya's, it stops my ult. This is frustrating because part of the play I've come to do with Morgana is the Flash/Ult/Zhonya's for the team-fight stun. Was there a patch that changed that? Where she can no longer ult through Zhonya's? Or was that never supposed to happen in the first place?
