The entire right side of the client is black. I cannot accept games, see friends or even see my own name. Tried to repair client, and it didn't work. I played a game this morning 1/16 so I'm not sure what's changed in the client other than adding the mecha-kingdom landing page. I can send a screenshot but I am not sure how to embed a picture.

Mine is the same way as well with picture in link. Friend says it shows I'm offline when I'm logged in with this error.
riot please fix this, my friend are waiting me to duo, what a nice timing
Repairing my client and restarting my computer have not worked to fix this issue.

used hextech thinger and nada. Also tried making a custom game and leaving it because sometimes, lately, after I play a game my friends list will magically reappear. I've never had the whole sidebar blank like this though.
Same here, left sitting here not being able to join or invite friends to play.... ugghhhhh I canceled all of my plans to play Darius tonight... FML
Also having this problem, played two games with sidebar, then suddenly came out of game to no sidebar, tried restart and repair, nothing.

I have this same issue, my workaround is to make a lobby and manually type invitations to others hoping they can accept.
this and post game chat not working wanted to hear my teammates try to flame and blame me for them losing their own lanes.

Last night I had this problem and it said they were working on it so I just went to sleep. Woke up and its still happening the only thing different is there's not the exclamation mark near play saying they are still working on it. So did they think they fixed it or are they still trying to fix it?

Same issue since yesterday . Riot support recommended to update drivers so far only but of course no fix since this is a client issue.
Here is a workaround tho:
Not only can I not see the social panel, I can't connect to any chat in lobby and I am even having a hard time swapping champs. (URF) It's so ridiculous how long this shit has been going on for.
Just logged in to bump the fix. As others have stated there seem to be "two" clients..... the old league client and the new Riot Client. People have said to delete the Riot Client folder in the C drive (or which ever drive letter you have the game installed) but if you are like me, I didn't have that folder. If re-installing the game didn't work for you either, here's why:
If you go to C:\Users"yourwindowsaccountnamehere"\AppData\Roaming\League of Legends - you'll see the much talked about "Riot Client" folder there. Delete the whole folder. Then go to C drive or wherever game is installed and launch the league client, it will update the client to the new one.

If your login screen does not look like this your friends list will not work!!!!
The only thing that worked for me was reinstalling league cus I still had the old launcher thats what bugged it

I tried to seek help and they are literally telling me it's something on OUR end and we have to take steps to fix it, but the steps they gave me DID not work! I play this game with my husband and now I can't.
I am having that same issue to still today as anyone else. Trying to do a full repair or reinstall the client does not do anything to help you. Does anyone have any Suggestions because some of my friends were fixed and they play fine.

I had this same problem too, but after uninstalling and reinstalling league, it worked again. Make sure to delete all League of Legends and Riot Games files from your computer before reinstalling though.
Same issue. Last night the chat wasn't connecting after a couple of games and tonight nothing on the right side of the client at all. Plus lots of ping issues as well, but I don't know if that's related.
Posting as well to keep this thread going. Same people as everyone above. No sidebar, friends list, or anything. Had the red notification the day before. Today the notification is gone, but the problem still persists.
Can't find a fix either. Been being dragged around by support all day and they can't find what's wrong with it.
I was having the same problem. I unistalled, downloaded the installer and installed again. It worked for me.
PS: Don't use the same installer you used before. Download the new one from the LoL website.
