Complication with logging in.

It is a little difficult to explain and I'm unsure if this only happens with my client or not, but after clicking the launch button and entering my password, the client fails to log in and tells me to restart the client. On most occasions when i try to log in, i have to restart my client about 2-5 times in order for it to actually log in. Except recently, I had restarted maybe ten times and it still wouldn't budge. Please help.
