[Client] 'Reconnect to game' does nothing

I was starting an ARAM match at 12:38am 12/7/14 and instead of the client going to the tray and the loading screen coming up, my antivirus popped up saying that LoL was a suspicious file. I told the antivirus it was a false positive.

I then clicked on the client icon in the systray and it had the message "You have left a game in progress, click here to reconnect." I clicked reconnect and the client minimized. The loading screen did not launch. I repeated this action several times with no new results.

I closed out of the client and signed back in. After authentication I received the Reconnect to game message again, and again the client would minimize but the game application would not load.

I have never had this problem before. I checked my virus vault, and the game's executable file was not present, so I don't believe the antivirus is still the problem.

At this moment I continue to be unable to reconnect to my match, so I assume I will also have to have a chat with LeaverBuster. I have no explanation for this behavior. I have reconnected to many games in my history on league - all within seconds, so I've never had a problem. This is new, and extremely frustrating.

I'm on NA server, it was an ARAM game, I'm running windows 7 ultimate, I'm running Avast! internet security. Why would Avast! suddenly pick up league as a malware? I've been playing the game for a year...

I was just coming into the forum due to this same issue, and was hoping that someone else was having this issue (and that there was a fix for it).

This has happened to me twice this evening. The first time, a complete restart of my computer was enough to fix the issue (the Reconnect button actually allowed me into the game). The second time, however, the Reconnect button failed to do anything. The client would minimize, but the game application would not load at all.

I am also running Avast!, but I don't think that Avast! would suddenly isolate LoL without any type of notification.

I would love an answer to this issue - and being able to play without it would be greatly appreciated.

I'm also on North American Server, i was playing a Team Builder Summoner's Rift and I am experiencing the exact same problem. My roommate is in the same game and he is just fine. We are actually winning 32 to 12 atm a 4v5 because of me. Kind of pissed off actually.

I am also having this issue, i was in a team blind pick and while the other 4 members of my team loaded up fine, i did not. I then went to reconnect, and nothing. So i restarted the client, nothing. Then i restarted my computer, nothing. Someone help. Its sad because i get to listen to the sound of us losing over the skype chat.

I'm having the same issue Re-logged, Clean Restart of computer, happens on two separate accounts (the second account tried to play a custom game alone to test) done a repair of league of legends, still happens on both. Hit reconnect... Minimizes to task bar... Nothing happens. Ended all non windows processes and tried again still happens. Power-cycled my router... still happens. Had this issue just a week or so ago after that It did work after a few minutes but not this time. I have also re-installed league of legends recently on this computer. Have several of my team mates are on my friends list and they are working just fine and in game.

I am having this issue & got hit by leave buster for a 5 minute penalty when I didn't know what was happening. Not happy at all. My buddy was playing with me & the same thing with him. Luckily we were q'd with friends who understood, but I guess that doesn't seem to matter to leave busters.

P.S. I just uninstalled LOL the re-installed & league is now working. I'm not blaming on avast because I tried re-install process on avast first only to still have the issues with LOL. Their fault our leave buster penalty. Riot, please find it in your hearts to not penalize us when it was a league problem & not our computers' securities problem.

I was able to successfully fix this issue by doing what a fellow player did in this forum post

i think i found a fix for it. i waited 2 hours, still wasnt working, but i switched servers, let it update and everything, didnt hit play though, then switched back to my original server and logged in fine. idk if it was a fluke, but i hope this works for u in the future!

Just happened to me... I was playing a ranked game and this pops up. I've been trying to reconnect and no luck so far. Is the server down or something? If Im not the only one experiencing this, then I should get loss prevented

i am having the same problem i was having a normal match around 2:00 pm today( feb 14 )but suddenly my net disconnected and when i fixed the lan connection after login it was saying to reconnect but when i did a black screen appears and then it would say game has crashed relogin to connect... i repeated the process several times nothing happen .....

what is the problem ?

is my account banned ?( shoudnt get a bann becoz i rarely got reported by players )

when i opened my friends account it opened but for mine its saying the same thing ..

i can chat with my friends but unable to play the game .. screen has stucked on tht page for hours ..

pls guide me .....

I really doubt it's about Avast. It's probably the server because I have Norton and have the issue. Many are having it as well according to recent posts
