In last game with lux i cannot use my E skill

Were you lagging?
Came to the forums to post this. It was after some interactions with varus's abilities that I found my E mana cost to be 0 and greyed out for the entire duration of the game. Adding a point did not fix it and I had no actives. I think my build was spells thief, tear and sightstone and that point. I may or may not have had a vision and or stealth ward too.
