After I lock in the screen goes blank

I don't know why this is happening as i have downloaded the game 3 times now to see if the patching or updates messed everything up. This is so frustrating. I cant play because after everyone locks in my client screen just goes black. When the screen goes black i cant alt tab out or move the mouse i just have to turn the mac off. Someone please help me figure this out.
