kicked out of game, unable to reconnect

Joined a game today, typically as soon as i get in there is ping issues. This is pretty rare for me, and so i was surprised to see 5000+ms at the top right of my screen.

My client then tells me its attempting to reconnect but there was no success, i close the game and try join again. This fails. This time i close the client and restart, meanwhile it tells me i have connection issues i check my net online and everything is 100% great. im now back in the lobby.

Game kicked me out, tells me i have net issues when i dont, kept my character ingame whilst im back on the client home screen unable to join my friend but i can start a new game. 10 mins later my friend comes out and tells me he had same issue?
