"failing to select a champion"

Hello was just in champ select in ranked.. my series to get into silver. and i have a few seconds left to select a champion and it booted me saying i had failed to select one and i got a loss :( i don't wanna take a loss in my series when i still had time. is there anything i can do about that...?

Nothing you can do to contest it really. There's no way for Riot to confirm this as far as I know, and I've never heard of them altering a player's ranking.

What probably happened to you was just lag. Packet loss more specifically, and it can cause your champion select timer to become incorrect sometimes.
