Smite charges

I didn't get to take any screenshots, but I just played a Diana jungle game where I bought Tracker's knife with the Runic Echoes enchantment / enhancement and played the game out limited to only one smite charge. I sold the item and repurchased it with no effect, but didn't get to try out the other jungle items.
