In Game stuck in Windowed Mode

So I launched into a ranked game today and the screen resolution was immediately set into windowed mode. Even when I set it back to fullscreen it stays on half of my screen, it just displaces itself on the left side. I tried to change the resolution but there are no options under the header "resolution," all the options just appear blank and there is nothing to click on so it seems like there is no way for me to change it back to an actual full screen resolution Help pls D:

Like I said, fullscreen still only displays on half of my screen. It doesn't help.

You never said you hit alt+enter and then you downvote me. I hope you never get this fixed. There's an easy solution that I'm not even going to bother posting because your shit attitude.

I downvoted your answer because I wanted to showcase that it wasn't the answer I was looking for. I didn't realize it was that big of a deal. Also, hitting alt-enter simply puts it into full screen mode and I stated this didn't work. I didn't think specifying the shortcuts was necessary.

Everything I stated was matter of factly. I wasn't trying to be rude, i think you just chose to interpret it as rude though I am not sure why. Also like I said, alt-enter is the same as full screen mode which I stated in the initial post didn't work. The problem is not the option "fullscreen" but the option "resolution" Also, are you going out of your way to help me out, or to criticize my attitude? Genuinely curious

You said it only displaying on half your screen, therefore it's not in full screen. Changing the resolution doesn't change the % of your screen it takes up - windowed mode/full screen determines this. You down voted me, and left a negative comment - two negative things so yes, you were rude and no I wont post the solution even though I can replicate it right now on my computer and toggle back and forth.

I didn't say it was fullscreen, I said thats what hitting the fullscreen button did. Maybe you are right about fullscreen vs resolution but I do find the fact that the resolution bar is bugged out as suspicious.

Yes, clicking the fullscreen button (or alt-enter) just makes it borderless on the top left corner rather than windowed in the middle of my screen but still only takes up the same size as windowed. If you are just here to argue semantics, im not sure I can help.

So you were in full screen mode. Also i'm pretty sure you're the one in need of help but you're just digging yourself a hole.

I wasn't when the problem started. Im just saying thats what happens when I try to change it back to full screen mode. Also i'm not sure why you think im '"digging myself a hole," and besides, I have time.

Mine suddenly jumped into a windowed mode a little while ago. It's a problem with the game config. Alt+Enter won't fix.

Log into the game client. Navigate to C:\Riot Games\League of Legends\Config (or the same location on whatever drive LoL is installed) Delete the files named game.cfg and persistedsettings.json Start up a training game to make sure that settings have saved properly. I recommend using the Practice Tool mode since it loads the fastest. You'll know right away if it worked if your loading/splash screen is back to full screen again instead of windowed. Leave game to sync settings.

Fixed it for me.
