[Gameplay] My keyboard isn't working

Help! I just entered a game and everything was going fine, until about twenty seconds in I tried to ping using the "G" key, and it wouldn't work. Ok, so I figured maybe the key layout had changed. But then I started trying to use my abilities, and QWER weren't working! I actually left the game (by request of my teammates) because I was more detrimental to my team than helpful, which I hated :(

The weird part is, it's not my keyboard. I could CHAT fine, and I could use the mouse fine (to move and attack), but otherwise when I used my keyboard for abilities and pinging, nothing would happen. Now I think my account is probably going to get banned for a little while, which is a bummer, and my team will no doubt lose that game because of me. They also didn't seem to be buying it, and when I said it wasn't working one responded (presumably sarcastically) that it "must be a hack". Anyways, I feel really bad and i'd like to resolve this issue!

I was using Ashe in a normal, draft pick game on summoner's rift. I have played other games in the past week that my keyboard was working fine for, and it was working when I hit enter (i.e. I could chat).
