I have not tested ranged champs yet but I just played a bot game as Shaco with the Bandit mastery. It grants no gold at all for hitting them with Shiv. Gold was granted for auto attacks.
The mastery clearly states it will grant gold on spells.

There is a whole bunch of bugs. Bandit being one of them. Not to mention Titanic Hydra vanishing when bought!!! And this bug was caught on the early cycle of PBE for this patch literally day 2.
Too much focus on ADC changes that everything else seems to have just fallen through.
Maybe it's just Shaco? Try it with other spells from different champs.
I confirm this bug, tested on katarina and akali. Auto attacks grants 10 gold but spells 0
The patch notes just says basic attacks, with no mention of spells. It sounds like they changed it and forgot to change the tooltip.
From the patch notes: Bandit FINDERS KEEPERS Gain 1 gold whenever a nearby minion is killed by an allied champion PICKPOCKET Gain 3 gold (10 gold for melee) when basic attacking an enemy champion PICKPOCKET COOLDOWN 5 seconds
Tested this with annie and maokai. Neither one procs the bandit with spell.
Only with aathe passive works
+1g component for ally last hits works.
