You should not get a dodge if you selected a champ in Ranked

Coming back to the game after a few years away, I find it annoying that I automatically get a dodge in ranked if I fail to press confirm in champ select. I have selected a champ. Sometimes I'm busy talking with the team in chat (since someone asked to switch roles) or I had to fill for an unusual role and am debating what mastery/rune page to use. It's not that hard for me to forget to click confirm. I get kicked out of draft when I don't want to dodge (I don't ever want to dodge in general). Please make it so that if a player selects a champ (eg manually during their pick phase) then they don't kicked out. You can even do some detection of have they clicked any other buttons or are they in chat or something.
