Last 3 games when you go to ward with a yellow trinket a large blue square appears centered on the ward. happens on all champs

Eeep! Looks like you're missing a particle!

Go ahead and do a client repair, like sona Ping had mentioned.

You can do this by doing the following!

Run League of Legends
Click on the '?' button that is located in the top right corner of the window
Click Repair
Wait. The repair function can take anywhere from 5 minutes to over 30 depending on the number of corrupt files it has to repair

That's not a bug with the game; that's overwhelming likely something on your end. Blue Squares do appear when a file for an effect is missing, etc. You can just repair this yourself.
