Stuck at authentication after client mysteriously crashed

Played a game of ARAM, won, client gave me an error message I couldn't read in the time it took to crash. Tried to log back in, now stuck at authenticating even though server status says the server is fine. Not using legacy client, never had any issues with the new client before. What gives? EDIT: It works under legacy client, so go figure.
