A notification for new updates!

Does anyone else have an issue with not being notified of a new updates? I have consistently had an issue with being allowed to join games, even ranked ones, and completing champ select, even while I need to update my client. The game starts and crashes because it isn't up to date. I then lose LP and get AFK reports because my client didn't notify me of a new update.

My suggestion is that the client is much more strict about not letting you do anything when there is an update required for your client. I am sick of getting penalized because of something I am unaware of and unable to plead my case to the report bots.
