League client freezes at 100%

has anyone else ever had this issue? it happens once every so often. sometimes during load screen game will get to 100% and then then freezes (i can tell it freezes because the ms stops spinning) the only way to fix it is to log out of my computer log back in and re open league. i know its not my pc because my fps in game is in the 300s. i have 20gb of ram a 6gb video card an i7 6700k. its really annoying because if i end up having to go to the bathroom during load screen and it freezes by the time i get back into the game my team has remade i lose lp and get leaver buster warning.

Yes, this is a very longstanding bug, at least 8 years old, possibly since the very first release.

This bug has become much more frequent as of late. It has lost me 5 games out of my last 20. Even worse, it prevents the computer from alt-tabbing or going to task manager, so one time I actually lost unsaved schoolwork because I had to restart the computer to escape the freeze. I don't know what to do. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the client. I've surfed the fora. There's no apparent solution.

This bug makes me afraid to try to play League. I downloaded DotA today. Gonna see if I can get my MOBA fix through DotA from now on. Sigh.
