Start-up troubles

So, I've been away from the game for a while, but I've kept the client updated to within a few months, basically without fail. Until today. I've been trying for most of the day to load up the game's browser, but it's either a black screen with the intro sounds, or this screen (linked picture) would come up, again with the sounds. No options that you could click on, no nothing.

I've searched through some problem forum boards and attempted their answers, but nothing worked. I also tried to un/re-install. Still comes up like this. I really want to play again, so I've come here to look for definitive answers if any are to be had.

Help me, League Forum Community, you are my only hope.
