[Gameplay] Mouse Button 4 Keybind not working for scoreboard (hold)

When I try to bind the scoreboard (hold) key, in-game, and it tells me to "press any key", mouse button 4 doesn't bind and I am unable to use it for the scoreboard. I then tried to bind it in champ select the next game using the settings "gear" in the top right and this time mouse button 4 DID bind, however when trying to use it in-game pressing the key does nothing. I double checked to make sure it was still binded and it was. It is a brand new wired mouse and the mouse button 4 works for every other application I use it for. Please help me fix this because I CONSTANTLY use it to check the scoreboard. Thanks for any help!
