Jayce fps drop / freeze game when transforming

This has been a known issue in the community for a while and I am aware that it does not effect all players. Whenever a Jayce in my game (other team or my team) transforms from ranged to melee form, I experience a quick freeze in my game (about 1/4 of a second).

I have tried repairing my client and re-installing League of Legends but nothing seems to work

This makes the game very frustrating and difficult to play, especially with Jayce spamming R in URF. With Jayce coming back into the meta, it would be great if this issue could be resolved.
