Shop bug broken build paths (Gameplay)

I was playing as Lux summoner's rift ranked, I was able to build my eye of the watchers and boots but when I went to start building lost chapter it appeared highlighted as if I could but it even though I didn't have enough gold for it and when I bought the pieces the price appeared the same unless I hovered over it. This was more of an annoyance than anything but later in the game I went to build morellicon I was unable to even though I had enough gold, later in the game I found out I could sell the items used to build it and just buy it for full price but this effected the amount of gold I had and meant I had to wait to have 3K+ gold in some situations to be able to buy items.

I had the same problem today 3 times in a row. I suspect it is related to the new versions of the support items.

It cost me 2 games in Ranked Flex. One time I couldn't snowball because I couldn't buy items and the other time I always had 1000-2000 gold in my inventory that I couldn't use. I also figured out that I must buy full priced items, but selling my items or waiting for 2200+ gold every single time was a major inconvenience and put me behind.

I think the problems start happening after the sightstone active gets unlocked, because in my first game I managed to buy Ardent Censer piece by piece, but after finishing the quest I couldn't buy any tier 3 item anymore, unless I bought it full price.

I hope a Rioter will see this, this happened in 3 games I played today, It really affects game because I needed like additional 5 minutes to buy one item :/ [sg-janna]

Same here, was playing Janna; had the components for items but couldn't buy the item unless I had enough gold for a full item purchase, and even then it didn't all my gold, only took the gold for a price of the item with both components completed. Really annoying, I got so behind in items because I couldn't finish them until I saved up enough for a full item cost.

Had this issue was well! (image) Had to disconnect and reconnect to be able to buy it, which is pretty intrusive in the midst of a ranked game.

I had the same bug. I went Zilean support and tried to buy Archangel Staff. I had MORE than enough gold. But nope, couldn't buy. I had to relog/restart to get it to work fine in the match

But FUN, it was part of the reason I lost my ranked match -,- Quality way to treat Support mains, Riot.

Yeah, it's happening everywhere. Support is effectively unplayable at the moment. The League subreddit has a thread they put up every patch for new bugs to be reported in - it's literally flooded with reports of this...

Honestly, with the support player being completely screwed over in at least a noticeable amount of games, ranked really needs to be disabled - especially since it isn't a 100% occurence. Playing a game where the enemy support can buy their T3 support/damage items while your support can't is completely unfair and game breaking...

Also happened to me just now. Couldn't buy item 3504 . I had enough gold and I had item 3114 . I also had a full inv. I was able to purchase item 3107 however. Very odd. simply wasn't highlighted and didn't let me finish it. I was playing Rakan and I had the blue support item. I think the glitch has to do with the support items. I don't think I can play until this is fixed. I don't wanna lose a game because of it

Playing Blitzcrank support had a similar issue after building boots and Remnant of the Ascended. Could not directly purchase items through their normal build path.

A workaround that.. sometimes works:

Sell some of the items you have (avoiding those that block using the Undo button) until you have enough spaces to "buy" all the components (or until the item you want to purchase lights up), then undo selling those items.

For an example, let's use item 3165 Morellonomicon.

It's build path consists of 3 items ( item 3108 + item 1052 + item 3802 ), so sell enough items to have 3 empty item slots (you can sell your item 2003 , item 3020 , and item 3089 for this purpose).

Once your item 3165 Morellonomicon lights up, undo selling the items and purchase the Morellonomicon.

Admittedly, it doesn't always work, but it's as close to a workaround as I've been able to figure out without losing out on gold.

I haven’t had a problem with a support item but i was playing kog maw and I couldn’t build essence reaver I just had the components. I bought it after a while and when I tried to build rage blade the same thing happened, I sold Reaver bought rage blade undid it all so I had reaver back and I could buy rage blade but then when I tried buying ruinance it wouldn’t let me do anything value didn’t go down when I bought components. So yeah idk.

First time posting on boards...I had both Forbidden Idol and Crystalline Bracer but couldn't finish redemption even with enough gold. I decided to purchase ardent shortly after, but it wouldn't let me do that either. PLEASE FIX THIS!

I guess I won't build support items until they fix this, but how did removing some items and adding new quests cause this problem? It sucks that it ruined a game where I was far ahead with Shen so my team got demolished.

same issue on Leona tried buying the flowing: item 3800 item 3190 item 3050 but about 10 minutes later all the items in the store showed as purchasable even if i had no gold,

[Yesterday, 1/24/18, Summoner's Rift Normal Draft Pick] | [Playing as Caitlyn in botlane]

I purchased Targon's brace at some point in the game around 8-10min.

Later, upon already having purchased Zeal, and having 2,100gp, and around 200gp avaible to spend using "Future's Market," I was unable to purchase Runaan's Hurricane, despite having the necessary gold to purchase it (It should have costed only 1,400gp).

I tried to sell the Zeal and purchase other big items, but was unable to. It would only allow me to buy the lower tier items, like BF Sword, Pickaxe, Dagger, Phage, Vampiric Scepter, Sheen, Recurve Bow, etc...

I was unable to purchase Runaan's Hurricane or other higher tier items as their buttons in the shop were grayed out.

I was just barely playing as brand support. Finished my Eye, and I couldn't buy Rylais, not Liandries, I had most sub items, plus 2300 gold, I even sold eye of watchers, still couldn't buy it. I had to quit and restart client during game for it to work.

This just happened to me as well.

I was playing zyra in a ranked solo queue game, I was able to buy eye of the watchers and tried to build into rylai's. I noticed that after buying all the components, the price of the components was not deducted from the total cost of rylai's and I was not able to buy rylai's despite having enough money (i.e. the shop seemed to want to charge me full price even though I purchased components for rylai's).

In particular, I was able to ping in chat that I was able to purchase Rylai's, but attempting to actually purchase it did nothing.

This seems debilitating. I don't understand why Riot seems to be working on a fix but hasn't disabled ranked queues because of this.
