Game crash

Not sure if this belongs here but any way this morning I was playing a game and after a few minutes in the game crashed and has been unable to reconnect. After minutes of attempting to reconnect I decided to close out and try to restart but now it will not go past the league of legends loading logo on my screen and if I click on it it says that League is not responding. I've never had this problem before so I am assuming that I must uninstall and reinstall. This error has come after the patch. Not sure if the two are correlated but it is definitely worth looking into.
