How Has Pyke Ult Not Been Fixed Yet

I cannot possibly be the only Pyke player who's noticed his ult randomly not registering direct hits, right? Yes, I know it has an awkward hitbox and it's easy to wiff sometimes, and I fully acknowledge that my aim ain't perfect and I miss plenty. I am not by any means trying to use this bug as an excuse for any poor play or losses on my part, because it honestly doesn't even happen frequently enough to seriously impact my win/loss ratio.

That said, there have been countless times in my games when targets with very large hitboxes who are in execute range and standing directly in the center of the X flat-out aren't registered inside it. It doesn't happen consistently enough to singlehandedly lose games for me, but it is absolutely infuriating when it does happen. The ult doesn't damage them, the gold isn't shared, and it doesn't go on cooldown; on top of that, I don't even get a kill or assist out of it if I haven't hit them with something else. Even when they don't dodge it and are often CCd by myself or someone else on my team, and they are literally directly in the center, sometimes it just won't register them in it. It happens when they're in execute range for the ult itself to kill them as well as when they die during the animation, so I know it's not just unexpected healing canceling the execute. Plus when this happens, the ult doesn't even seem to damage anyone.

I have been a pretty dedicated Pyke main since his release. I noticed this inconsistency with his ult within about a week of playing him, and after taking a long hiatus from the game, I come back to find out it STILL hasn't been fixed. So I ask you, how has such an impactful bug on such a popular champion not been fixed by now? Riot, you MUST know about it by now, so are you seriously just leaving it there as artificial "balance?" I don't care if you have to nerf him to make up for it; I'd rather have a weaker ult that won't randomly fail to function.
