I've been having this problem for about the last month. I'm using Mac OSX 10.10.5. Since patch 5.12 the game has been having problems. After champ select the game starts to load champions, but I only get the background and the frames, then the game crashes. I haven't been able to play in a month. Please help.
That really is not enough information. Also understand that MAC's are not a do it yourself kind of computer, and that sounds like a combination of processor and graphics card problem to me. Best bet is to send your MAC into apple and pay for the highway robbery, or get a PC.
I understand I'm playing on a mac and that's not really a gaming machine. I didn't ask your opinion on what I should be playing on. That's not what this is about. I have played league for years and haven't had this problem before. I just told you what I've seen. After champion select the background and frames come up, then I disconnect.
