Punished for Leagues spotty client

Periodically league crashes while in champion select and when I exit out to relogin and it won't let me that sucks because I will be punished with afk bans and such for leagues spotty programming. Everyone please petition riot to emplace measures to protect people like us who just want to play and not afk, which i would assume is the majority.
