Creating a New Account

I'm trying to create a new account for kinda like a league for me and my friends to make but it won't work. It says "Only aloud to use letters and numbers" So I'm like, Okay so i only use letters and numbers but it still says that so as an experiment i tried putting wassup as a user name but it said the same thing. It's starting to really annoy me what do i do?
