Sona's Q+passive making everyone lag on first use?

My friends and I have all noticed that whenever I support as Sona, the first time I use my Q plus passive Q at level one, we all lag out really badly. Just started happening a few months or so ago, I want to say the pre Kalista patch. Anyone else having this issue. It also happens when I have a Sona in my game at all and then the whole team complains about lag.
