[Client]? Not receiving chests

There have been three occasions were I should have received a chest and I have not. The first time it occurred my profile said that I did not have any chests available which should not have been true. I know this because I was playing with my fiance; the first time we got chests we got them in the same game, then he was able to get a new chest but I still did not have any available. The second occasion occurred in a game I played on 4/4/16 as Vel'Koz(I queue'd a Gragas and Leona). My friend earned S- on Leona. I had chests available, I had not earned a chest on Leona before and the person playing as Leona was in my premade group, but I still did not receive a chest. He also experienced the same problem - he did not receive a chest.

I can tell you with 100% certainty that for the second game (on 4/4/16):

-I had not earned a chest for the champion Leona before. I have only gotten a chest for vel'koz before and I double checked in my profile. The chest icon for Leona is still dark. -I was not the person playing Leona, one of my friends I queue'd with played Leona and earned an S-. So even if he didn't own Leona, which he does, I should have still received a chest. I also own Leona.

And now it has happened a third time. I just played an ascension game as Vel'koz with the other member of my premade group playing Jarvan. He earned an S- Jarvan. Once again I have chests available (I have only ever gotten one), I have not earned a chest for Jarvan before, but still I did not earn a chest.

I read through the Hextech crafting guide and couldn't find anything to explain this so I wanted to let you guys know there seems to be a bug.

It's not your friend's champion that you earn a chest for from their S, you get one for yours.

In other words, you needed to have not received a chest for Vel'koz yet.

For the first occasion, I don't know what to say, but the second and third occasions, it was intended for you not to receive a chest.

When a person in your premade group earns an S rank to get you a chest, the chest you would receive counts for the champion that you are playing, not for the one your premade friend is playing. You were playing Vel'Koz in both of those games, and you mentioned that you have already earned a chest while playing Vel'Koz. This means that you are not able to earn another chest while playing as Vel'Koz, even if a premade gets an S rank while playing a different champion.
