[crash] game always fails to load after champ select

In all honesty, i'm not sure if the title is describing what's happening in the right way, so please correct me if i'm wrong. So i've been away from LoL for a week because of vacations, i came back 2 days ago and started playing again, and since then, the game fails to load after the champ select screen, freezing entirelly, and i'm forced to restart the game in order to join. Is it a problem with my computer or is it a problem with the servers/game? More of my friends also complain about the same thing, wich happens from time to time, rarelly, but has happened every single game to me since 2 days ago.
