Frostfang Bug [Client]

As I was playing Ahri Support I started with item 3303 Spellthiefs Edge, which was giving me 5 gold every time I hit an enemy champion or turret. Then after some time had passed I upgraded to item 3098 Frostfang. The problem is that the gold generation had stayed the same, at 5 gold every time I hit an enemy champion or turret instead of 10 gold per hit. I do remember there were some bugs recently with the item 3092 Frost Queen's Claim which made it disabled in game. Is it possible the recent update nerfed item 3098 Frostfang by accident?

I also had this problem last night. I was playing Morgana support and upgraded my Spellthief into Frost Fang early but the gold generation passive was still only +5 per hit/spell instead of +10. I missed out on a few hundred gold because of it.
