[Client] First logon always fails

Hi Riot,

My first logon after closing LoL seems to fail every time with the following message:

Connection Error Connection Failure: Unable to connect to the PVP.net server.

This wouldn't be so bad if it didn't COMPLETELY CLOSE my client after clicking the OK button. Not only does it completely close my client, it reverts back to whatever account name I last -successfully- logged into, so every time I want to switch accounts, I have to enter in my username and password at least twice.

This has been a problem for me, for a very long time they should check it out as i thought this was only happening to me

I have the same problem. Doesn't happen every time but I'd say it happens 80% of the time.

im getting this like 3 times in a row before it finally connects this past week

also the main page when i finally do get in, is all black and i just see the titles and no pictures

I find that it happens more often if

a) you just switched your internet connection b) you just switched from a different lol account

I don't have this problem if my computer has been running on the same internet for a while and if it's been a while (e.g. a few hours) since I last opened a league client. However it happens almost 100% of the time the first time I log in on a new network connection (e.g. when I move from home to the library) or if I log out of one account and immediately try to log into a different account.

I had this problem too, don't hesitate to contact support, they will get back to you. They got back to me in just a few days. However, I think I do know how to solve this problem. This may be caused by your firewall blocking the connection. Disable your firewalls or get the firewalls to recognize that LOL is a harmless application. This should solve it 99% of the time. Trying changing your routers assigned DNS server IP address set (i.e. DNS IP #1 and #2), if it still does not work then try running the lol.laucher as Administrator and then try lol.launcher.admin if the former does not work. If all of these options do not work then Riot is the one to blame and all we can do is just wait.

I also have this problem now. I deleted it completely and then downloaded it again in 10 minutes and still have the problem. It doesn't login the first time but it does the second time.

This has been going on for a couple weeks. There have been numerous posts about this on the forums. Riot has yet to post any kind of reply that I have seen. I guess they just don't care about their players.

One thing that may help is if you haven't already, set league to run as administrator. I get this bug too very occasionally but I noticed that my friend kept getting it and I had him do that and it cut down the number drastically.

This happens to me the majority of the time after I have to relog onto my computer after restarting the computer or it being in sleep mode.

Been a long running issue for me as well, gotten a little better recently ( not 100% of the time) but still happens. I made a similar thread a few days ago with not much response so I figured it wasn't affecting many people, so I didn't think it was this widespread
