Gifting message still shows up on my client months after...

About 6 months ago i gifted two of my friends skins and if you've ever gifted a friend on LoL you receive a notification that they opened the gift and they have received it. Well they opened those gifts within 5 minutes of getting them. Fast forward to now, i'm still receiving notifications present day that they have opened their gifts. I don't know how to make this go away, i have reinstalled the client multiple times, along with I've gotten a new computer as well recently. Is there any way to make these go away? It's nothing to important but it still makes me wonder why am i getting those notifications?
