Azir glitch

So I just played a Dominion match and Azir managed to glitch himself out of the starting area BEFORE the barrier dropped. I think he achieved this by sending out his minion and jumping to it. I'd be willing to bet he can do it on Summoners Rift too. I don't have a recording program or I'd have recorded it.
