Malzahar perma-silenced me?

i wish i had taken a screen shot but last game i was playing and was on the other team... towards the end of the game there was a team fight and when i hopped up on my pole malzahar q animation went off or something and got me glitched for the rest of the game (was only a few minutes - we lost) but for the remainder of the game my E skill was grayed out like i was silenced, not to say it was the reason we lost the game either but it made it impossible for me to do anything because.... well, i was hopefully i don't see this occurring again it kinda made me rage deep down inside my fishy heart.
