Unspecific Error Message for Client Start Without Internet Connection Mac[CRASH]

I am on a 13 inch 2012 MacBook Pro using OS X 10.9.5 (Mavericks). My launcher's version is 0.16.0.675. When opening the launcher with Wifi disabled (and presumably whenever there is no internet connection) I get the error, "Unspecified error occurred. Please check the logs for more information." The LoL logo shows the error and then quits on pressing OK. This happens every time I open it again. This is a common error and the error message is highly unspecific and confusing (and googling it leads to errors caused by several other things.) Please add a sensible error message for this error. To reproduce (exactly as I had it):

1. On your Mac running Mavericks, click the wifi symbol in the menubar.
2. Click "Turn Wi-Fi Off".
3. Open the League of Legends launcher by double-clicking "League of Legends.app" in your Applications folder.
4. Error message will show.
