New Project Skin orbs items disappering

Recently I purchased one of the New Skin Orbs for the Project event and as I was opening the orb a queue popped for a game so I accepted the game I saw I got 3 things one was Major Ziggs and the other I saw was 55 orange essence so I thought that when I got out of game I would see the other item but it was not there so I just feel cheated out of an item or something as its not my fault the game popped. Has this happened to anyone else
