[New Client] Champ select issue

Hi everyone, With a friend of mine, we very recently stumbled on this weird issue where my friend logs in champion select, but is then unable to pick a champion: no champ icon appearing on the select screen. It was a bit a pain in the ass, as he was doing his promos and I had to leave in order for him not to lose his promo. Did anyone experienced the same kind of problem?
