Irelia E & Garen Q Interaction - Spaghetti Coding?

Just got out of a game as Irelia against a Garen.

Throughout the matchup, I noticed that whenever I stunned Garen with my E while he had his Q active, his Q-empowered auto would still go through the stun and silence me. It was incredibly annoying because in every trade I would lose because of this.

I'm fairly certain this is a bug, and actually ended up losing us the game because there wasn't much we could do against a Garen who was constantly pushing top lane because I wasn't able to win trades because of the aforementioned bug.

It isn't a bug, as long as Garen has his auto attack winding up at the same time that you e him then the spell will land a fraction of a second later. Garen's Q can land after people flash away from him the same way, basically think of it as an invisible projectile that has a travel distance.
