Demoted for Inactivity

I play ranked almost everyday and yesterday I was demoted from silver 1 to silver 2 right after playing a ranked match. At first I thought it was for losing but It was my first loss at 0 LP. Then I noticed I had a notification saying I was demoted for inactivity. I know that wasn't right because I have never gone 15 days without playing a ranked game since I did my placements. I was wondering what I can do or if there was someone who I could talk to about this.

I had that issue as well. I was at 0 LP and lost one game last night then got demoted. Played a normal after that, and got a notification saying that I was demoted to Silver III which is interesting because I was actually demoted to Silver IV. I thought there was that buffer still from when you hit 0 LP, unless something changed and I didn't see anything about it xD It is frustrating though.

It had to be losing.

Patch 4.17 removed LP decay for silver and gold.

Here you can send a request but I dont think they will boost you back up. They might take a look but it doesnt hurt trying. Alot of people have decayed due to new patch so they might compensate for that fact. Best of luck.
