Today I made a game with Leona supp, in the other team there was a master yi who, by the way, got a lot of kills, anyway this master yi tryed to kill one of my mate, so I decided to stun him with Shield of Daybreak :

Yi is attacking Poppy I use my Shield on Yi, he use the Alpha strike at the same time. As you can see, my Shield went on cooldown However, Master Yi was not stunned (you can see he doesn't have any stun effect on him) And of course right after reappearing he wasn't stunned as well and he finished Poppy as my stun was on CD Poor Poppy.

This is the first time I ever see that, I'm used to dodge some auto shots with shaco's ult, but they are always ranged, I never managed nor seen anyone dodging an effect on a melee attack (wasting the effect in the process), the only thing I can do with a on-hit effect is to delay it.

I know that people often manage to avoid a melee attack by flashing, but they are hit after the flash (that or the attack was never actually used, and so on-hit effects are not wasted). In this situation, Yi is not stunned at any moment, yet my stun went on cooldown.

I would like to know if this is intended, and / or if anyone already seen anything like that, if you want the entire recording, I don't really know how to share it, but I have it saved on my computer if needed.

yea.. they have alot of bugs to fix, this one would be as easy as altering the time that he is targetable after activating his q, though i have a feeling they royaly broke the game when they implemented movement prediction into their system.

This is actually an INTENDED BUG, I know its sounds weird but hear me out. What you just saw Yi do is called Disjointing, it was originally a bug in the alpha strike code but later riot added it as an intended feature as another way for Yi to mitigate CC, and it ONLY works if you use alpha strike as the stun/cc ability hits Yi.

Basically Disjointing allows Yi to minimize the duration of the stun but still take the damage for the ability, this is different than just dodging with alpha strike in which you dodge both stun and damage. Cowsep explains it much better in his video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=heneW2EdGzs

What Yi did in your description and imiages is that he Alpha Strike Disjointed the duration of the stun, even tho the CC landed he was in alpha as soon as your shield hit him, this allows him to remain in alpha for the entire duration of your stun so when he comes out of alpha he is no longer stunned.
