Can't lock screen after tabbing out

After tabbing out of League in fullscreen mode via ctrl+esc, the camera cannot be locked in-game until the game is restarted. Interestingly enough, this bug does not occur when tabbing out by pressing ctrl+alt+del and starting the task manager. This happens to me on my Windows 10 machine, but it also occurred when I was using windows 7 and 8.
