Failure to display champion select

While playing ranked I have noticed several times that I get a loading window instead of opening champion select. At this point I have two options: I can either exit out of league and restart (with the dodge penalty), or I can sit and wait with a black league screen and a loading window until it boots me from the match for not selecting a champion. If anyone else has had a problem with this your input is greatly appreciated, if not here is my problem Riot. Thanks!
