When a game is supposed to start, the load screen never comes but client says I'm in a game

About every 4th game I try to play, the game never loads, and the client says a "game is still in progress". It won't let me join the game, and I'm sure I'm getting reported a lot for this crap. Seriously this is so annoying. Usually when a game doesn't load, I can restart the client and I can click "reconnect", but this new bug won't let me do that. It just say "game is still in progress" and there's nothing I can do.

ctrl shift esc end "league of legends" process reconnect

It's a workaround until they fix whatever the issue is, which may not be for a long time.

Still happening to me. Get into half my games between minute 1 and 3. And thats only if I can get Task Manager to stop the league process. If I cant I have to force all of them to stop then re login.

ending the process is not working for me either, same issue....
