Timing Out in Champ Select

For about 5 days now, I frequently get timed out of draft pick queues and can't consequently rejoin my friends in the queue as I get a time penalty for abandoning the game. Sometimes this will happen 2 or 3 times in a row. When I placed in my first promotional series this season, I never got to play either of the games as I got dinged after "abandoning" two straight queues as a result of connection time outs during champ select. In the three years or so of playing League I have never had this issue, but it has happened to me every evening now for almost a week. I seem to be able to play Arams and custom games without issue, as well as any other online games or services without incident, but I am becoming very frustrated at having to take a risk when deciding to Q for a draft pick League game and wondering whether I will receive a time penalty or ban. In addition, I am missing out on the opportunity to play with friends for the evening and I end up having to find something else to play or, god forbid, do real life activities.
