The game automatically assigns roles even when you have autofill protection

Title. If it isn't clear:

I was in a queue that said to be ~1:37 secs long. I had autofill protection, primary role as top, secondary as mid. I waited for 4 minutes until I got a prompt to join a game, someone declined. Like 3 seconds later, it pops up again, I click "accept". My assigned role somehow became "Bottom".

When this first happened, I wasn't sure if I accidentally chose Bottom as my secondary, but the 2nd time I made sure 3 times to choose mid as secondary. Again, I got a prompt, someone declined, 3 seconds later I got the prompt again, my assigned role: Bottom

Not sure if it's a bug or not, it's probably just Riot going back on their autofill system so it's almost like Blind pick at this point.
