League of Legends Client at Super 1080p Resolutions (Needs to be accomodated)

Hey Everyone,

I have greatly enjoyed this game for several years now and I have to say that Riot has taken over the competitive gaming scene in a way nobody could have believed just five years ago. Kudos. Now that the brown-nosing is out of the way, I have to follow up with the gripe: optimization for resolutions greater than 1080p.

I operate my laptop at 2880x1600 and lots of other users such as those on Razer Blades or simply high-end desktop models/display do as well. The game runs fine on my hardware, however, the graphical user interfance nor the in-game experience is very well-adapted to suit these resolutions. Since the new patch, the landing splash page no longer renders correctly and I only get a smidgen of "LAUNCH" button to click. If there are terms to accept (like after a new patch), I can only agree to them by running the game unscaled which is monstrously huge and pixelated on my high resolution display. When in the game, health bars, text, and other items render quite poorly under high resolution scenarios but if I don't run it at high res everything is huge and blocky and quite frankly ugly.

I understand that 1080p remains the standard, but there are many of us now operating at higher resolutions and the number of users equipped with resolutions over 1080 will grow steadily as time wears on. If you're going to keep League of Legends cutting edge and drawing new players from other competitive scenes, I think it is important that you don't shun those who have invested heavily in their computer setup.

The new Summoner's Rift seems to begin to address this issue but addmitedly the splash screen, login panel, and other in-game items that don't function properly are a big turn off to new players with high resolutions.

Cheers,

**TQ **
